Once all questions are answered, a small amount of blood (20-40 ml) is drawn from a vein, which is then processed in our practice's laboratory. In the case of a broad treatment or the targeted injection of very sensitive skin areas, a local numbing cream can be applied before the procedure. Depending on the treatment goal, the PRP is then injected under the skin (e.g., under-eye circles, lip contours, etc.) or, in the case of desired firmness, worked into the skin extensively. The treatment itself lasts between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the scope. To conclude, a cooling and soothing mask is applied. After this, you can leave the practice. Depending on the type of treatment, skin irritations and, in the case of the highly recommended combination with needling, widespread redness of the skin are not uncommon.
