The most commonly used filler nowadays is hyaluronic acid. It is a substance naturally found in our tissues, providing elasticity and volume.

In aesthetic treatments, hyaluronic acid products are created by cross-linking individual molecules. This process can vary significantly between products from different manufacturers. That's why in our practice, we exclusively use products from major premium manufacturers to achieve optimal results. Through the cross-linking of individual molecules, a gel is formed that can lift sunken tissues, the cause of many wrinkles. If the hyaluronic acids are lightly cross-linked, it creates a gel with excellent flow properties, spreading well in soft tissues. These products are used in areas where very superficial treatment is needed to achieve a natural appearance and feeling, such as in the lip area. If the molecules are more strongly cross-linked, a firmer gel is formed. These products are particularly suitable for contouring in the chin or cheekbone area. In our practice, we always have the appropriate products for all treatment options available, ensuring optimal results at all times.Depending on the location and material used, treatment results can last from 6 to 18 months. When hyaluronic acid molecules are more strongly cross-linked, the gel becomes firmer, and the effects of the treatment last longer. Results of 12 to 24 months can be expected in these cases. Since hyaluronic acid is present in many areas of the body, there are natural mechanisms for breakdown and absorption. The enzyme responsible for this is called hyaluronidase. It breaks down spent hyaluronic acids in the tissues and can be prepared as a medication to dissolve old hyaluronic acid filler deposits. This is a significant difference from botulinum therapy. While undesired results in botulinum therapy can only be waited out, hyaluronic acid fillers can be actively dissolved, allowing older, possibly unwanted results to be corrected.
